City leaders raise thousands through “no shave November” campaign

LACKAWANNA, N.Y. (WIVB) – It was a celebration of all things “hairy” in the city of Lackawanna Monday.Through the “No Shave November” fundraiser, city employees raised almost $5 thousand dollars for Upstate New York Transplant– or UNYTS.Police officers, Department of Public Works and other city employees paid $25 dollars to not use their razors for the entire month. The campaign is in memory of Danny Wilson, A Lackawanna Police Officer who
