Charges dropped in NY police videotaping arrest

MINEOLA, N.Y. (AP) — Criminal charges have been dropped against a suburban New York college student arrested while taking a taking a video of two friends being arrested.
Attorney Kenneth Mollins says resisting arrest, obstruction and a drug possession charge were dropped Friday in a Long Island courtroom.
The Suffolk County District Attorney’s office confirmed charges were dropped “in the interest of justice.”
Thomas Demint was arrested in May 2014.
