Celine Dion’s husband perishes to battle with cancer

LAS VEGAS, NV (WIVB) — René Angélil, long-time husband to Celine Dion, lost his battle with cancer Thursday in the couple’s Las Vegas home.
Dion released a brief statement, requesting privacy after the death of her 73-year-old husband. The two had three children together.
“Angélil passed away this morning at his home in Las Vegas after a long and courageous battle against cancer,” Dion said.
