Car ends up in Cheektowaga basement

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB)- It was about 1:45am Tuesday when a Dodge Avenger veered across the center line on Beach Road near Maryvale Drive and crashed into a home ending up completely in the basement.
“Things happen.” said the homeowner named Gerald, who called 9-1-1 thinking his furnace had exploded. “So then I heard voices down in the basement and I said to the police ‘There’s someone in my basement and I’m the only one living here.”
