Buffalo’s oldest fire boat holds free tours, celebrating 115th anniversary

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — One of the oldest pieces of Buffalo’s modern history was on display for all to see Wednesday as locals got a glimpse at Buffalo’s oldest fire boat.
The Edward M. Cotter took on passengers, not water, Wednesday as it showcased how it has protected Buffalo’s waterfront while still maintaining its National Historic Landmark status.
The Cotter is also raising funds to make repairs. Its crew says it needs two new propellers and other minor repairs.
