Buffalo police locate missing 4-year-old

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An Amber Alert was in effect for a missing 4-year-old girl. Buffalo Police say Mikeya Houston was taken by her mother, Mekesha Lawson. Lawson’s custody was removed Thursday by a court order.
(Editor’s note: Buffalo Police reiterated during an 8:30 a.m. news conference that the girl’s name is Mireya. Previous reports and the official Amber Alert posting have used the name Mikeya Houston.)
