Buffalo Marathon branded success as female runners eclipse men

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Despite the heat, 97 percent of all runners who set off to run in Buffalo marathon races crossed the finish line as organizers celebrated their second ever sold out year.
Jennifer Adams, a Buffalo Marathon organizer, reported the final race numbers on Wednesday, just days after runners closed down a host of Buffalo streets on one of the hottest days of 2016 thus far.
