Buffalo man sentenced after May hit-and-run

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo resident, who in October admitted to a May incident where he hit a Louisiana man with a car and sped off, was sentenced Thursday in court.
Carl Nye III, 30, will spend six months in jail for leaving the scene of the Elmwood Ave. accident.
Adam Brown, 52, was crossing the street when he was struck by Nye’s vehicle. After Nye attempted to hide his vehicle, it was found an hour later in South Buffalo.
