Buffalo home saved after vacant rectory catches fire overnight
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo building that had been vacant for decades caught fire late Monday night, threatening a nearby home.
Firefighters are working to figure out what started the blaze at the old church rectory.
The nearby house, which was just around 15 feet away, was saved from any major damage.
The homeowners, Murray and Nona Holman, say they were told of the fire by an unknown person who was looking out for their safety and wanted them to get out of the house before
