Buffalo celebrates MLK day

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The western New York community celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, focusing on his dreams of equality and education for all.
The New Hope Baptist Church participated in the federal holiday by holding its annual scholarship breakfast at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. Proceeds from the breakfast will go toward offering scholarships to graduating seniors who hope to move into dorms in the fall.
