Brock Turner released from jail as sexual assault conversations begin on college campuses

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB)– Brock Turner, the man convicted of sexually assaulting a woman behind a dumpster after leaving a fraternity party, has been released from jail.  Turner, a former Stanford swimmer, was sentenced to 6 months; he served 90 days.
His release comes as college is starting up again. Advocates call the first few weeks of college the “Red Zone” – a time when they see a spike in sexual assaults occurring.
“Being that it’s a new environmen
