BPD permits officers to grow beards

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — It may only be for a month, but officers with the Buffalo Police Department will be allowed to grow beards for a good cause.
As part of No Shave November, BPD officers will partner with the Police Benevolent Association to support the Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
If officers donate and receive donations, they’ll be allowed to let beards grow to show support from Nov. 16 through Dec. 16 as a show of support for cancer research.
