Bill removing minimum hunting age sparks debate
WISCONSIN (MEDIA GENERAL) — A proposed bill is sparking debate over how young is too young to hunt in Wisconsin.
Right now, a child must be at least ten years old and within arm’s reach of a mentor, and they can only have one firearm between them.
On Wednesday, the state assembly’s Natural Resources Committee is set to vote on a bill that would eliminate the minimum hunting age and allow both the young hunter and mentor to use a firearm.
