Barber shop killer sentenced to 23 years in jail

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man who goes by “Chino” was sentenced to 23 years behind bars after fatally shooting another man in a city barber shop.
Luis Oliveras-Arvelo, 25, killed Juan Santiago, 29, on Niagara St. in September and admitted to his crime in April.
Prosecutors say the shooting may have been retaliatory in nature, as the victim allegedly threatened Oliveras-Arvelo with a machete ten minutes before the shooting.
