Balloons, floats as NYC Thanksgiving parade gets underway

NEW YORK (AP) — The giant balloons, floats and marching bands are making their way down Manhattan streets for the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Security is heavy, with more than 2,500 officers stationed along the route. That’s the largest number of officers the department has ever assigned to the event.
