Average gas price drops under $2 for local region

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline is finally under the $2.00 mark for the Buffalo-Niagara Falls region, dropping to an average of $1.99, according to AAA.
Buffalo has seen gas prices below $2.00 for a few weeks at various gas stations, however this is the first day the average has gone below that mark. This is the lowest price paid for a gallon of gas in Buffalo since early 2009.
