Augusta, Georgia elementary student shot, school locked down

GEORGIA (MEDIA GENERAL) — An elementary school in Augusta, Georgia is on lock down after a student was accidentally injured by a gun Tuesday.
A call rang out around 11:10 a.m. Tuesday from the Augusta Fire Department to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office about an incident at the school. The Richmond County Board of Education says the local police department needed assistance.
