Americans predicted to spend billions on St. Patrick’s Day

(WIVB) — The luck of the Irish has people spending more this year on St. Patrick’s Day.
The National Retail Federation reports Americans plan to spend a total of $5.9 billion. That’s about $40 per person.
Most of that money will go toward food, drinks and green beer.
People are also getting their green in the form of clothes, candy and decorations.
