Afghan soldier denied asylum
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A fleeing Afghan soldier, stopped on the Rainbow Bridge last year will depart the U.S. after a court decided to deport him.
The latest decision comes after an appeals court granted asylum to two of the three soldiers who fled training in the U.S. to attempt to seek refuge in Canada. The third will officially face deportation.
All three appealed for asylum by saying the Taliban would target them for working with the U.S.
