Add fish to the list suffering due to the drought

CALEDONIA, NY (WIVB) – This season’s drought is tough on our farmers, our gardens and is also tough on the fish in Western New York streams.
The dry conditions transformed rivers into creeks and creeks into streams as in a favorite fishing spot in Caledonia.
Fishermen here tell us they’re having trouble catching trout this summer.  Some fishermen recommend not fishing at these times.
We’ve learned that the fish are starving for oxygen in the warm, low waters.
