85-year-old man killed after striking pole in Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police in Niagara Falls think an elderly man’s medical issue caused him to lose control of his vehicle and crash around 10:30 p.m. on Monday.
Video above, taken by The Action, shows the scene of the fatal crash at Hyde Park and College Ave.
The man’s vehicle hit a pole, bringing it down and taking out power lines in the area.
He was an 85-year-old from Niagara Falls. Police have not released his name.
