$84 billion expected to be spent during back-to-school shopping

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Back-to-school spending is expected to hit close to $84 billion across the United States, according to the National Retail Federation.
The new report says families with K-12 students are expected to spend an average of $687.
Families with college-age students will spend an average of $969, which is up $82 from last year.
