$75K in illegal fireworks seized in Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- The Erie County Sheriff’s Office seized $75,000 dollars worth of illegal fireworks from a storage garage near William and Bailey Streets in Buffalo Wednesday afternoon.
Officials told News 4 an anonymous tip led to the discovery and the arrest of 55-year-old Fred Punturiero of Buffalo.
Products ranged from as a low as $3 or $4 dollars to as much as $120.
Erie County Sheriff Timothy Howard said the suspect appeared to have solicited customers out of the garages.
