64 Dunkirk NRG employees receive pink slips

DUNKIRK, N.Y. (WIVB) — Lawmakers pushing to keep the mothballed NRG plant in Dunkirk active and converted into a natural gas power plant recently were dealt another blow.
Sen. Cathy Young says 64 remaining employees at NRG’s Dunkirk facility have received WARN letters, notifying them that their positions will be eliminated between February of 2016 and September of 2016.
