4-year-old shoots self while playing with gun

DUNKIRK, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police in Dunkirk say they responded to a report of a person with a gunshot wound on Monday night. The victim turned out to be a 4-year-old.
Just before 10:30 p.m., emergency responders made their way to S. Roberts Road where they found the child and took them to hospitals in Dunkirk and Buffalo for treatment.
It turned out that the child was playing with the gun and accidentally shot himself, police say. The child has non-life threatening injuries.
