15 reported dead as fires rage in California wine country
SANTA ROSA, Calif. (AP) — Fifteen people have been killed in wildfires in Northern California, officials said in a press conference Tuesday afternoon.
At least 2,000 homes and businesses and other structures have been destroyed and 115,000 acres have been burned. No causes have yet been determined.
California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection Chief Ken Pimlott says there are 16 fires burning throughout the region with another blaze in Orange County.
