13-year-old from Amherst makes National Sled Hockey Team

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB)- Hockey has always been a big part of life for the Eberhard family.
“I have a son who plays travel hockey, so that was always the focus, was him playing hockey. And recently the focus has kind of turned to his sister,” said Mike Eberhard.
That’s because Mike’s daughter, 13-year-old Maddy, just became the youngest member of the National Women’s Team.
But she plays hockey a little differently than her brother.
