13-year-old found guilty of 1st degree murder for stabbing 9-year-old

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A jury has found 13-year-old Jamarion Lawhorn guilty of first-degree murder in the August 2014 stabbing death of 9-year-old Connor Verkerke.
Jurors deliberated for a little more than four hours Friday before reaching their verdict, which made Jamarion the youngest person ever convicted of murder in Kent County.
