Alan Edelstein, who founded the Boston accounting firm that bears his name 50 years ago this year, died last week at the age of 92.Edelstein & Co. is now one of the 25 largest accounting firms in Massachusetts, but it started in 1968 when Edelstein, a lawyer-turned-accountant, decided to hang his own shingle.
