Voluntary evacuation ordered for Sorrento residents

SORRENTO – Officials in Ascension Parish are asking residents in Sorrento to evecuate due to rising flood waters in the area.Sorrento officials say they expect water to potentially rise 3-4 feet over the next 12 hours. Ascension Parish authorities say residents can evacuate to the Lamar Dixon Expo Center located at 9039 St. Landry Avenue in Gonzales. Permalink| Comments
