Two dead after officer-involved shooting in Calcasieu Parish

CARLYSS - Two people are dead after an officer-involved shooting in Calcasieu Parish.It happened on Highway 27 when State Police say deputies were responding to a call of a reported burglary. Deputies said they saw subjects walking in a field near the home that was reportedly the target of the crime.Troopers say a male subject opened fire on deputies when they arrived, so the deputies returned fire, killing the man.
