Suspect in deputy's killing arrested

HUGHSON, Calif. - Authorities in California say they didn't recognize a suspect in a sheriff's deputy's murder until after he was taken into custody for an attempted purse snatching.Authorities in Stanislaus County say that 36-year-old David Machado shot a sheriff's deputy twice in the head Sunday as the deputy was checking a reported stolen van.Authorities say Machado then carjacked another vehicle and committed an armed robbery before the alleged purse snatching attempt, which led to his arres
