State Police looking for driver who hit cyclist

PAINCOURTVILLE - State Police are asking for help to locate the driver involved in a hit-and-run with a cyclist in Assumption Parish.The accident happened Wednesday night between 9 and 10 p.m. on LA-1 in Paincourtville. State Police say the bicycle was traveling south on LA-1 near LA-73 when it was hit by a white Ford Super Duty, similar to the one pictured.The cyclist was transported to the hospital with "moderate" injuries, but the truck left the scene.
