Pedestrian killed in early morning LA 16 crash

DENHAM SPRINGS - State Police have reported that a man died after he was hit by a pickup truck near Denham Springs in Livingston Parish early Friday morning.Troopers say the single-vehicle crash took the life of 46-year-old Jason Taylor, of Greenwell Springs. The crash happened on LA 16 south of Lockhart Road at around 4 a.m.The initial investigation by State Police reveals that the crash happened as Taylor was walking in the middle of the southbound lane of LA 16 while wearing dark clothing.
