Parents convicted in infant's death

NEW ROADS - The parents of a 3-month-old infant, who died from severe malnutrition and dehydration in 2014, have been convicted of second-degree murder.34-year-old Jason Lutz and 33-year-old Ashley Cogar were immediately handcuffed in court Wednesday and taken to the Pointe Coupee Parish Jail, where they'll await sentencing on Oct. 13 in the death of their son, Joseph Lutz.State District Judge Edward Gaidry convicted the couple following a three-day bench trial. The defense attorneys waived the
