Mower runs over 9-foot boa constrictor in Plaquemines Parish

PLAQUEMINES PARISH – A 9-foot boa constrictor was accidentally killed on the East Bank of Plaquemines Parish on Wednesday.The Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and learned that the 9-foot reptile was accidentally killed after it was run over by a grass cutting crew's lawn mower.Scientists with the Aududon Nature Institute in New Orleans identified the snake's species. According to the Institute, boa constrictors are non-venomous snakes native to Central and Sou
