Final I-49 concept expected in December

LAFAYETTE - Planning for the Interstate 49 connector in Lafayette is moving into the next phase now that the number of design concepts has been narrowed.
The goal is to have a single concept in place by the end of December.
Project consultants released evaluation results of 19 design concepts for a section of the connector on Thursday. The concepts included the design approved in the 2003 federal Record of Decision and others that emerged since the project was resurrected in 2015 after a hiatus.
