Felon sentenced to more than 10 years for illegal gun

BATON ROUGE- A Baton Rouge man has been sentenced to more than 10 years in federal prison for possessing a firearm while being a convicted felon, according to U.S. Attorney Walt Green.On Nov. 14, 2014, the Baton Rouge Police Department responded to a home on Byron Street. The caller told police that Lands had a gun, fired a shot and was attempting to kill the occupants of the home.After police struggled with Lands, he was arrested.
