Drive-by shooting in New Iberia under investigation

NEW IBERIA - Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon on S. Hopkins St. in New Iberia.Around 2:53 p.m. deputies were called to the 600 block of S. Hopkins St. in reference to a shooting. Upon arriving, deputies found a 39-year-old black male with a gunshot wound in his leg. The man's name was not released. He was transported to Iberia Medical Center and his condition is unknown.Investigators learned that the man was walking o
