Days before first practice, Tech QB arrested

RUSTON - Authorities say Louisiana Tech quarterback Ryan Higgins has been arrested on a drunken driving charge.The Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office says Higgins, a senior, was arrested early Friday in Ruston about a half-mile from the school's football stadium after a police officer stopped him for speeding.  Higgins was released on $1,750 bond Friday afternoon.Head coach Skip Holtz said in statement that he was "aware of the situation" but wanted to gather more information and talk to "
