Baker police officer fired in case involving sheriff's son

BAKER - A former Baker police officer accused failing to properly investigate a shooting involving the East Baton Rouge sheriff's son won't face criminal charges, but he has lost his job.EBR District Attorney Hillar Moore said his office found that Adam Procell broke no laws in his investigation of an April 27 shooting involving 44-year-old Ben Gautreaux outside of a Baker Walmart. Gautreaux is the son of EBR Sheriff Sid Gautreaux.&
