Ascension opens waterways, Livingston still floating decision

GONZALES – Friday, waterways in Ascension Parish will reopen to recreational boaters.On April 16th, the Amite River and Diversion Canal were closed in Ascension Parish due to high water. The closed areas will open at 6 a.m. Friday, the parish said in a news release.Livingston Parish also closed waterways within the parish boundaries there.
