Ascension, Iberville officials devise plan to drain Spanish Lake

SPANISH LAKE - Officials in Ascension and Iberville parishes are putting a plan into motion to relieve flooding in the area around Spanish Lake.Flood water remains in communities off of Bluff Road and in St. Gabriel, and if nothing is done officials suspect that water could remain for at least two to three weeks.
