Airbnb and Waitr mobile apps aid disaster relief efforts

BATON ROUGE – Airbnb and Waitr, Inc are aiding residents in need following severe weather and flooding in Louisiana. The Airbnb disaster response tool connects local residents who have been displaced and are in need of accommodations with Airbnb hosts who are opening their homes free of charge.
The disaster response tool began in 2012 after Hurricane Sandy. Airbnb is an online platform that allows people to list, find, then rent vacation homes for a processin
