2010 suspect in high-profile murder cleared to face death penalty
BATON ROUGE - A judge found the man suspected of a 2010 high-profile murder in Beauregard Town isn't intellectually disabled, clearing the way for a death penalty case.The judge ruled Friday morning in the motions hearing dealing with Aramis Jackson. Jackson is the lone suspect in the killing of Alexandra Engler, 42, and the shooting injury of her daughter, Ariana. Jackon's DNA was found at the scene, investigators said.
