Mayor Pugh, Attorney General Lynch To Announce Consent Decree

BALTIMORE (WJZ/AP) — The Baltimore Board of Estimates has approved a consent decree between the City of Baltimore and the U.S. Department of Justice, nearly two years after the death of Freddie Gray exposed systemic failures within the department that included excessive force, racial discrimination and illegal arrests.
This week, city and federal officials announced they have agreed on reforms that can be enforced in court.
