Kidde Smoke Alarms Recalled Due To Potential Safety Risk

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) — Officials from Annapolis’ Office of Emergency Management said a recall was issued for the Kidde Smoke Detector.
The alarms are being recalled after a yellow protective cap in limited instances may have been left on one of the two smoke sensors in affected products during the manufacturing process. It could compromise the smoke alarms’ ability to detect smoke.
The recall affects the Kidde dual-sensor smoke alarm, models PI2010 and PI9010.
