How Maryland Decides To Make Roads Safer For Pedestrians
COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) — A drunk driver struck and killed Matthew Cheswick, 22, on Memorial Day weekend in 2012 as he walked on Coastal Highway in Ocean City, a popular tourist destination on the Atlantic coast.
The Towson University student was one of 40 people hit by vehicles on the state highway that year, and one of two fatalities.
