Delaware Officer Charged With Attacking Injured Man, Lying About It

DEWEY BEACH, Del. (AP) — A grand jury has indicted a Delaware police officer accused of attacking an injured man and lying about it.
Dewey Beach police Officer Gregory Lynch Jr. surrendered to authorities Tuesday on charges including second-degree assault and perjury.
He was released on his own recognizance. A state news release says Lynch was dispatched this summer to help someone who had lost consciousness and suffered a head injury.
