Welcome 2015's first local baby

Baby girl Milagros Lorenzo was born 30 seconds after midnight Thursday, making her the first baby born in 2015 -- at least of those in Bakersfield hospitals.

Her father, Urbano Lorenzo, said he and his wife, Norma Delgado, were buying ingredients to make tamales and pozole when she started to feel minor cramps.
